Why Widescreen?

Many of the videos we produce are in shot in the widescreen format. Our eyes naturally see this format better than standard 4×3, and the result is a more cinematic look.
When you have the option to watch a movie in fullscreen or widescreen format, what do you choose? Many people are annoyed by widescreen videos because on a standard television you see black bars above and below the image. But by choosing to watch a widescreen video in fullscreen, you’re actually not getting the full experience. The widescreen format actually shows more than fullscreen, which is demonstrated by a video from AMC.
