YouTube Video Quality

June 30th, 2008 by Jon Mobley

YouTube has quickly become one of the most popular free video hosting sites online. However you get what you pay for, and until recently that has meant low resolution videos. But YouTube has heard my woes, and my desire to show professional videos with higher quality is being realized.

Google, owner of YouTube, explains that “As more of you guys produce great-looking videos, we want to make sure they can be seen in all their glory.”

YouTube is recognizing that having great content on low quality videos is no longer satisfying audiences. Communicating your message with professional quality is what will keep viewers flocking to you.

For more info on creating high quality videos, check out our video page. To learn about posting and viewing videos in high quality on YouTube, visit their blog.

Firefox: an Internet Explorer Alternative

June 27th, 2008 by Dan Grahn

Chances are if you’re viewing this page then you are on a PC running Window’s, and chances are that if you are viewing this page on Windows then you are using Windows’ built-in web browser, Internet Explorer.

What you may not know is that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has competition. Some pretty good competition. As of today (6.27.08) a web browser known as Firefox accounts for almost 40% of browser usage (Check the facts).

If you are not familiar with Firefox, it’s worth taking a look at (link). Firefox bests Internet Explorer in many ways, with better security, faster load times, and a rich set of features that is easily extensible via completely free add-ons. The reason I personally switched to Firefox was to remove advertisements from WebPages (Ad block Plus). Oh, and did I mention the best part? Firefox is free.

June 23rd, 2008 by Rick Terry

School being helped by Foundacion MarianaAfter our recent 8 days in beautiful Nicaragua, we are convinced of several things.

1. The people of Nica are wonderful and kind. Safety and health concerns were very much false alarms.

2. The opportunity for business development is  welcomed by the entire country.  It is a great investment for entrepreneurs.

3. Poverty and needs in education and healthcare surround this emerging country.

Main-1-Media, in cooperation with LandDesign and Grupa Mariana, will continue working to provide education and healthcare solutions for the children and families of Nicaragua.
